I thought a single rack unit for all effects would be cool too when I bought this MPX-1.
I got it just before the pandemic hit and screwed up everything. It was a bargain then too. I think I spent $185 on it but I had to replace the battery which is a PITA on these because they are soldered...
Mississippi made Delta Blues 115 with foot switch for channel & tremolo switching.
It's in really nice condition with no issues at all.
I put a brand new matched quad of JJ EL84's in it and a nice sounding RCA 12AX7 in V1.
Great pedal platform amp with lots of headroom but howls like Marshall...
I heard they were going to discontinue these. I don't know if it's true or not but I grabbed on. I bought the Blue while they were on back order and got it just before Christmas. Cool pedal for sure.
I haven't had a chance to try it through a big amp at volume yet but gave it a go through a...
I bought it new around 2005 to use with my Plexi in a wet/dry rig. I had a Digitech ValveFX I bought in the mid '90s and also used it with that for a practice amp.

Warts...

Guitar: PRS SE Soapbar II (love P90's)
Amp: '80 Bassman 70 (ultra linear amp if you can believe it)

I'll remember to do that next time. I wasn't trying to demo it, just trying a few guitars straight in to get a feel for how well it works for recording purposes. It's very Bassman like, sort of Tweed Bassman. Lots of sag and touch sensitivity. It does tighten up and get a little Plexi like if...
I know this may not be everyone's cup of tea around here in the house of gain but it's definitely different and I think most of you will find it interesting being tube amp junkies.
This is my strangest amp but also one of my favorites, a 1947 Masco MA25P converted tube PA.
I picked it up in...
