Any cool guitar/amp stores between Jacksonville and Orlando?

The Guitar Attic in Daytona (actually Holly Hill, Fla, about a mile north of Daytona on US1) is a really good store. The owner Randy Pepper is a great guy. He has a pretty good revolving inventory and always has cool stuff in there. https://www.guitarattic.com/

Mr Big last night in Atl

I wasn't too far from you. It was a great show! Glad to see a strong turnout for a Tuesday night too.

    Modelers suck

Honestly, the Pod Go sounds as good as the Helix, but it can't do as much at the same time. Sort of like a pc with a smaller processor and less memory. If your only using a few effects and boost, you can definitely gig with it. I have, and then went to the Helix. I'm going to go back to my...

    Modelers suck

I used the HXFX using the 4 cable method as well with my amps but switched to a Pod-Go. Pod-Go does the same thing as the HXFX, but has the pedal I can use as a Wah/Vol/Whammy instead of bringing seperate pedals. Also, if my amp has an issue, I can use the Pod-Go as a backup to get through a...

Are Super Strat/Tele Guitars ULTIMATE LIVE instruments?

I do pretty much all my gigs with my Warmoth super strats and haven't touched my Gibsons in a year. (I love the Charvel as well) They are real versatile guitars and I can get a lot of tones out of them. The one on the bottom sounds the best but they all sound really good. My only complaint...

Let's see your natural wood top guitars!

Here are my superstrats: three Warmoths and one Charvel. The butterscotch Warmoth (under the blue) is currently in the process of having the polyurethane finish taken off and it will have a tung oil finish. The guitar on the bottom is an ash body with a maple top and it sounds the best. I...

You prefer way to run modeling amp

I run my PodGo directly into the PA and use Shure IEMs. I just purchased a Helix LT and will be using that soon. I was using the PodGo with my mini Jubilee 1/4 stack using the 4 cable method and just using the effects as my pedalboard. That is the best sounding rig for me. I played the last...

PodGo users? (or HXFX, Helix users?)

Thanks Will. Do you have any IR cabs you can recommend? I aslo have an HX Effects that I use but the Pod Go took its place since I can use the expression pedal for wah/vol, and the tuner seems to be a little better than the one on the HX. (? to me anyway) Lots of people prefer the Fractal...

PodGo users? (or HXFX, Helix users?)

I bought a PodGo about a month ago. I've been real impressed with the sounds (especially for the money) and wanted to know what others thought? I still need an amp behind me, and use my Marshall Mini Jubilee/2x12 and use the PodGo as my pedalboard which has made my load in a little easier...

    Marshall SV20H vs SC20C

I have the Mini Jubilee/2x12 cab and I love it. Its been my main gigging amp since 2016. My only complaint is the channel switching, as the clean channel is a tiny bit louder. For that reason, I don't use it and roll my volume down and it cleans up very well. Its a great amp.

    What's everyones backup rig?

I picked up a Hughes and Ketner Spirit of Rock amp. Its 25 watts, and sounds damn good through a cab. Its about the size of a brick and I keep it in my cable bag. I haven't had to use it yet, and I'm hoping that I didn't just jinx myself by replying on this post..haha. 11 gigs coming up, so...

NGD: ESP LTD SN-1000 - Purple Blast

I love the neck on my Charvel. But your right...the MIM ones are less consistent. I got a great one though. What do you not like about stainless steel frets? Just curious. I love my warmoth neck, and this LTD feels real good too. Its nice having frets that barely wear.

NGD: ESP LTD SN-1000 - Purple Blast

Yeah, it splits the coils like a push/pull knob. I had a Les Paul a few years ago with a spring loaded knob and it worked much better. This one just seems cheaper. I had a scalloped neck back in the early 90s. They are actually cool for bending notes since you don't feel any wood. I prefer...

NGD: ESP LTD SN-1000 - Purple Blast

As far as that Charvel, the MIM models definitely aren't as consistent as the USA, Japan, and from what I've heard the new Korean-made models. I love the Charvel (hd ash body pictured in my original post) but I originally had a 2016 blueburst model that had a twisted neck. I bought it on sale...
