Have you considered the DSL? They're pretty good and at a similar price. The Jet City is a really good hard rock amp, it's not super tight like some amps, which is either a really good thing or a really bad thing. I found with my 5150 II that I only liked its tightness if I was playing metal for...
They are very different amps, that's certainly true but the JCA has much more of an organic feel. That's not to say the HT sounds SS, it doesn't but it does lack a bit of 'realness', to my ears anyway. I did actually really like both of them, and in a way I wish I went for the Blackstar beacuse...
I think if you're going the Blackstar route, go with a Series One, they're awesome.
I came pretty close to buying an HT-100, but ended up getting a Jet City because it felt a lot more 'real' than the HT, and I didn't find the HT to be as versetile as it was advertised to be, one of the OD...
Not your typical stoner/doom stuff, but it's in the same vein. ISIS are one of my favourite bands. Check out Cult Of Luna and Neurosis, too.

I'm a massive fan of his. I've learned All Laid Back And Stuff, which was my first acoustic song (yup) and For My Father, which I can't play all the way through yet.
Antoine Dufour is brilliant, too.
They all seem to. The neck is definitely my biggest worry, the most flat I've seen any strats on the website were 12". I wouldn't mind a compound radius actually, I saw one strat with a compound radius. Unfortunately, all the ones with ideal necks AFAIK are US signature models and out of budget.
Ooh..
This looks right up my street. Seems really good value. How flat is the fretboard? I like to set my action quite low, especially since I use 11's in E. I'd use 10s on a normal strat if I wanted to play fast licks a lot.
