Everyone with two or more guitars/amps

No. my guitars convey a mood/setting (usually tuning… Rock/Doom/etc.) One amp is better situated for heavier metal genres, the other is pure rock. Both are expected to fulfill either role, and both accomplish it.

How to create a Speaker Cab IR

Not that you were that guy at all, but I am starting a trend where blindly stumbling across searches is more productive than posting here. My hope on fora is that I meet some experienced people who can answer some of my specific questions relay experience that is beneficial in avoiding pitfalls...

Flying V vs explorer style guitars

To clarify what might be stated vaguely: One does NOT place the lower/treble wing on top of the right thigh (for RH players) like one would a strat. One DOES place the lower/treble wing in between the legs and may also have the tip rest behind the calf for even more stability if desired. This...

Flying V vs explorer style guitars

No, you are informed/experienced. The majority opinion of the informed/experienced crowd is they are among the best models to play seated (and standing due to their weight). The majority opinion of the uninformed/clueless crowd is that they are hard or impossible to play sitting down.

Flying V vs explorer style guitars

I owned Vs and Explorer 90s. Vs are far better players. You have to educate yourself on playing them ”classical” style and they are easier to play than most sitting with their jack position. Explorers can be plankish and cumbersome. Something like a Hammered-out LP… Thinner but bulky at the...

How to create a Speaker Cab IR

I have a 412 that has known but less popular speakers. The problem (to some) surrounds a belief that these speakers do not sound very good until cranked loudly, which is problematic for my arrangements. I have also searched and there is no IR for sale that I have come across for this Celestion...

Using Captor X Headphones jack as LINE OUT to another amp.

I appreciate the prompt response, but 2 issues remain in your response: 1. The XLR Outs may indeed be line level but they are not compatible with anything requiring a 1/4” mono jack, such as a pedal or amplifier input without an adapter/adapter cable. Is there a specific unit needed to safely...

Using Captor X Headphones jack as LINE OUT to another amp.

First, why? Unlike more expensive units like the Boss TAE, the Captor X has neither a dedicated line out, nor a FX Loop. However, it seems one could take the full-driven amp running its signal through the Captor X and use the headphones jack as a line out. Example 1: Guitar > Marshall JMP 1959...

    Two amps, one Captor X

Completely understandable (and sensibly preferred) but I am specifically wondering how the Captor X specifically addresses these questions.

Your Favorite: Album, Song, Guitarist, Bands (Top 5), and Best Concert

Album: Good Luck Song: Same Guitarist: Slightly less absurd (I’ll try to cooperate and just say RR) 5 Bands: I’ll just say Acid Bath, Slayer, Danzig (who also counts as SAMHAIN/Misfits), FNM, and Sabbath Concert: Clash of the Titans ’91

    Two amps, one Captor X

Yes… but no. 1. Those sort of units (which provide safe powering of two heads via the unit itself) assume away the question entirely of whether it can be done as asked relying upon the Captor X to provide the safe, stable load 2. Those units typically cost @ $300. Understandable for a...

Why no Marshall amplification in the amp section ?

Except now there is a hotmods drop-in to convert to 4 stage preamp… and even the Mesa-brootl crowd boosts their 5150s and rectum fryers with a boost
