Omega Granophyre vs 5150III 50 Stealth - Shootout Video

Shot these two amps out the other day, as it was pretty heavily requested after my original demo went live.

Quick notes, I would say the Omega is much more modern. Huge low mids and quacky high mids, but much more spikey in mid frequencies. The EVH is much more balanced in it's frequencies and still retains that signature "Wah" mid section, but it is more subdued on this amp than any other 5150 I've tried.

The omega has a slight bit more clarity on the high gain settings, but it's subtle. The low end reminds me almost of a Rectifier, with the massive amounts of sub lows and low mids, but doesn't suffer from the same looseness or mud.

The Blue Channel on the 5150 is still a formidable beast, and I honestly think it stands toe-to-toe with the Omega, and really we're getting two different high gain flavors that are both awesome, with one not necessarily standing above the other. Price point on the EVH is obviously much lower, but that's to be expected with a mass produced amp from Mexico.
