Too Weird? (The note choices, not the guitar!) :)

Hey all,

Throwing down a solo for a track I'm finishing up soon. The Charvel is a Made in Mexico 2013 SD-1 hardtail that I gently modified with a pickguard to give it that Jake E. Lee feel, who inspired this work by his live guitar solo on the BATM tour...

I never think anything is too weird, just curious how it might sound to fresh ears... enjoy! And if not, just enjoy how pretty that damn guitar is!!!!!

Yup.... gregoryfrancis.bandcamp.com on the album PARAGON. Greg, the singer/lyricist, is touching up the final mix as we speak!
 
not my cup of tea stylistically, at all

but great playing nonetheless! i guess imo the great rhythm you have, in my opinion, for lead guitar mitigates some of the "different" note choices.

just makes it sound like your own style tbh
 
Cool note choice there, I always think TOO many weird notes is unlistenable after a bit, but just a few thrown in there grabs the ear nicely.
