George Lynch WTF?

He's inching up on 70 and lived the R&R life of the 80s - I cut him a lot of slack out of respect.
Back then I was more a fan of him than Eddie.

But, he's got to stop accepting these invitations to play at public 'guitar showcase' events.
He's at the age where he can't just expect to be THAT DUDE at the flick of a switch.

Well, the 1st thing I heard was after the intial start of the song, the entire vibe dropped out between the band and George.
That's where a beast like EVH fills that gap.
Just one of them bad match-ups & the wrong song at the wrong moment.
I'd like to get on that goldtop though!

He also msy be off due to no whammy bar.
That would have helped lift the dryness from that badass goldtop.
Honestly, it ain't easy to really pull off VH.
Especially the rhythm section with a wizard guitarist on top.
The dynamics are challenging in this song.
We're used to hearing that killer recording which nobody can really pull off live.
They use faders in the studio to bring things up
& down, whereas live, the band has to use dynamics and feel.
A true test of the groove.

Right after hit hits that "Holdsworth note" it looks like the drummer decided "OK, we're done." and goes into an ending of sorts. The bass player sees it immediately but George takes a second or two to realize; "Oh...I guess we're ending here."

What are those amps?

All joking aside. He to me.... is my fave.
can’t help it. The 80s. Dokken. Lynch. That’s what lured me in. I didn’t even watch the vid yet. Read the comments. Not sure why he don’t punch the gain in. He’s got everything under the sun to play. God bless ya george. 😎
