but covering VH tunes with a Japanese female keyboardist and nailing DLR vocal melodies note for note on gtr while scatting along instead of covering Eddie’s parts is just downright interestingly awesome and creative!

That is correct, it’s his wife. I watched this the other day with my wife sitting there and told her it must be nice to have a cool wife like that. But in reality, I’m glad she doesn’t get involved, ha.

That's his wife....he's a PDX local now with a couple good six degrees things going on... my buddy Jason Moore is playing guitar in her band. Jason is a ripper and had a surreal experience jamming with him for a couple hours first time they met at his house..an old student of both mine and Jason's is now Paul's personal assistant....both say he's the absolute coolest nicest humble guy ever, you would never know if you didn't know. Love me some Paul Gilbert

Met Paul at Namm twice many years back and as others have said he is the coolest laid back person with no ego whatsoever that you will ever meet! Now if only I could say that about Kotzen...
