CLIP: Mark IIC++ recorded tone opinions please.

So I fired up the ol’ ++ this afternoon. Screwing around with recorded tones. I’ve got two versions here, one “bigger one” and one “focused one”. Which one sounds better and/or better in mix? Love this stuff!

PS. Low end was on point () for these! Tight and beefy with no bloat.

Wow, both sound massive. Listening on some ATH-M50, they sound very similar to me? I think I prefer the Crunch-100 clip as it seems a touch more solid/polished. Focused is a good word for it.

I like the Focused one better. Palm mutes have a stronger chunk and it's more defined /present in the high mids. The Big clip sounds good but just a bit slower or tubbier by comparison.

Which one sounds better in a mix will honestly depend on the mix itself though.

Honestly I can’t remember . I think it’s a mix of a Titan IR and some random free IR I found lol.

I like crunch 1 better, but they both fuck pretty hard. Love that old-school grind

Nope. Full out ++ all the time

Those clips sound really good to me, the way a c+ should sound. Only recommendation I'd make is to just ditch that reverb in my opinion. An amp as good as iic+ imo really does need that anyway. Nothing needed to cover up on it

There is no reverb. It is quad tracked though.

Ah ok, maybe that's what I was hearing. Disregard then. Somehow thought I was hearing some sort of reverb or delay in there
