our generational bad economy and high tax rate has been beneficial in some respects. No state income tax for retired LEO's and EMT's plus firefighters is sending a clear message of who we want moving here. Lot's of benefits to living in a geographically isolated flyover state.

I have lived in "flyover country" my entire life. I will take the middle of nowhere Missouri any day over paying $1 million dollars for a shithole in California or NY. I have friends that moved out there to "find themselves" and they all moved back. Please, if you are thinking about leaving your braindead cosmopolitan enclaves with your expensive ticky tack houses in a row and safe spaces...just remember that a lot of people won't want you here and life will be hard for you, even if you have money (it won't matter).
