ART SGX2000 and 2000 Express question

I'm on a rack gear kick as of late. Picking up various rack pieces. Im considering grabbing one. Anyone have experience with either of these and is the Express a huge upgrade from the regular 2000? Thanks in advance.

Wow. I had some ART SGX device (Mach 2??) when I was in high school...it was so cool at the time. I don't remember much about the tones, except that when I was able to get the ADA MP1 preamp, I realized the digital OD/distortion on the ART left much to be desired.

My friend had one in '98. I worked with him on getting some good tones out of it. It certainly has an 80's sound to it. I preferred my Mp1 with a Intellifex, it was more authentic.
