Whats the best solo of the 2000s?

BTW - I'm kidding a bit.

I'm a huge Killswitch Engage fan and they are very guitar forward with lots of killer solos.

Not the strongest time for solos, but still some good ones out there. The ones is “Two Weeks”, “This Calling” & “Six” by All That Remains were quite good as well as “Beast And The Harlot”, “Bat Country” and “Seize The Day” by Avenged Sevenfold. Even if you don’t like the songs themselves the solos imo are very good, melodic, tasteful licks, no noodly gobbly gook to be found (except maybe a few licks here and there in Beast & The Harlot and Bat Country). Not as good as the great Rhoads, Friedman or Gilmour stuff, but miles ahead for me of EVH’s leads. I guess the stuff I mentioned is similar-ish in genre to KSE

There were some good ones in the 2000’s, it just wasn’t mainstream like it was in the 80’s. Here are a few that stick out to me.

3:20 Mark

Yngwie still doing his thing, whole tune is awesome

2:45 Mark
Awesome remake of Gary Moore, but love this version

The last real solo from the Darkness a thing called love sticks out…when he does the open string ascending stuff

Just killer and fits perfect
