Re-introduction

I think I came across with the Harmony Central Exodus (my last post was 2010) then got too busy with work to actually be playing. Not sure I had much of a rig to talk about at that stage.

I now have more of a rig, comparatively, than I did.

Hey everyone.

Edit:

Might as well put an explanation of the setup here because I think it's kind of nifty and was planned quite carefully.

Main point, I mostly use the monitors and IRs.

Guitar goes to tuner, then a buffered isolated splitter, output A goes onto the main board, and B feeds the 2 noise gates which are 3CM'd to the loops of the amps.

At the end of the board, the signal gets split to a buffered isolated AB/Y, then into the mimiq.

Each output of the Mimiq feeds one amp.

Amps make sound. Loadboxes feed 2 channels of my interface.

The amps both have lineouts and feed the stereo ins of the Core.

The Core has the capability to setup a pseudo 2 stereo channel line mixer internally, and cut all dry signal.

On each side there's different delays (currently tap tempo'd at quarter and 8th intervals) and detune/micropitchshift.

100% wet, and then the stereo outs on the core feed 2 more interface channels.

IRs via Wall of Sound and Reverb is done in Reaper, but I may setup a way of doing the reverb physically at some point.

WDDW 🤘

Pretty sweet set up.
Mimiq is fun right?
How do you use it?
Mimiq Is great!

Dry out goes to one amp, wet goes to another, 1 voice, and (these days) I kinda vary between 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock on the tightness knob.

That Bacchus is sweet. Soldano cabs - very underrated cabs.

The Bacchus Is great, it's my go to 80% of the time. I did change the HB for a model from a local UK builder.

Yep. That will get it done. Have never played a Gower but hear great things and being a Marshall guy, I would probably love one.

The SLO is a grail amp, but if you asked me to choose, I really don't Think it would win..

Fancy some Sort of Mark Series to round out the amps, someday.

And of course IMO, that version of the Axis (EVH) was the best body style of all "his" guitars. It just works, everything flows. Had one just like it years ago but I could never bond with the neck size. Obviously your amps rock as well.

I was super lucky with that one.. body is date stamped Dec 96 in the neck pocket, SN: listed Jan 97, very early, offset saddle trem, Just a beautiful quilt on it.

Gotta be a trans amber quilt. Beautiful designed guitar
