Ibanez edge zero thoughts?

Howdy,
I'm buying a guitar for an 80s band that has some squeeley's in it. I need a 24 fret guitar which I have moved away from some years ago as well as a locking system. I have a chance to get a nice rg2550 but it has the edge zero and I cannot remember the ups and dons of them esp in the guitars I used to own that had them years ago as I never really used the trem for anything. Now I am in this cover band it is needed and I really want this guitar for the price point. I've seen some mixed thoughts online but I trust you guys more than Jemsite etc. Thoughts?

Edge zero with ZPS system is very stable, durable trem and RG2250 is great guitar. I prefer Edge/EdgePro from feeling/resistance and look but it is personal view.

Never heard of anyone replacing an edge trem on an Ibanez with a floyd/Schaller trem.
Not saying it hasn't been done,its just not common.
That alone should be enough to trust one.
