2014 Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Standard Axcess!!! Ice tea burst flame top.

The big brown truck of happiness came to my door today!

This Les Paul is in awesome condition for being eight years old!

I took out the push/pull pots and the stock 490 pick ups. I installed a set of 1983 Gibson SHAW PAFs!!! They sound absolutely incredible!

Just under 8 1/2 pounds, and there is no fret wear. Sets up with a fast low action, I did block the Floyd for dive only, and it stays in tune perfectly!

I wonder if Gibson does anything special with the heel joints on these Axcess models?

I wonder if you could take a regular Les Paul and sculpt the heel area like that????

There was a little too much relief in the neck. So I tighten the truss rod a little bit, and the D string began to buzz out on the first fret a little bit. So the nut needed to be shimmed up a little bit. The perfect fix for that, is some really thin sticky back copper shielding! About four layers of it to be exact.
