It’s been a while since I’ve been around here. Just thought to share this gem. Bruce modded this himself with his Megamod. I have had a lot of modded Marshall’s. This one is the meanest most pissed off of them all.

I remember back in the day, Bruce’s mods would pop up for sale every so often, but I haven’t seen one in the wild for a long time.

Same. It was a great amp. I later had a Rocktron version, which was also a great amp.

The Megadrive mod is an added tube stage before all the stock tubes, it was designed to emulate a Boss SD-1 in front of a stock MV Marshall. The mod with schematic and step by step instructions was published in the June ‘95 Guitar Player Magazine (Dweezil Zappa interviews EVH inside). GREAT mod. You ditch the stock Low Sensitivity input (which becomes the stock Hi sensitivity), and the Hi input becomes the new extra stage added mod input, so you still keep the stock sound of the amp by plugging into the low sensitivity input.

It's nice though, he hasn't butchered or black tarred the insides either. Clean work. Bruce is always a gentleman it would seem!
