Agreed. Those double and triple bends are insane. He sounds like a cross between SRV and Moore to my ears.

Right around the 5 minute mark of this vid his playing starts transcending the flesh and into the spiritual. Just Wow!

I saw him live. Was walking around playing solos and would always end up knowing where his seat was. Such a great player and super humble.

You may be thinking about Leslie West. He had diabetes real bad. Had one of his legs amputated because of it.
