I BELIEVE IN YOU BROTHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!The more I look at it, the less confident I feel about pulling this off. It’s too nice of a guitar for me to f*+* it up!!!
I already bought the guitar, so I might as well do it right.

But if you did it good, it could be the ultimate project...and the most unique guitar....document it on youtube and get a million hitsThe more I look at it, the less confident I feel about pulling this off. It’s too nice of a guitar for me to f*+* it up!!!

Yeah. Why take the chance of really fucking it up and then having to have a new neck made? For around $600 out the door, it can be ready to assemble and rock the fuck out! Most of the guys I’ve seen repair a break that bad, use jigs to cut out 2 small valleys in the existing good wood and dowel the pieces back together along with gluing the exposed wood, then clamping. Quite a process. $550.00 is pretty fair in my opinion.
Agreed 100%. That’s going to be a great guitar when it’s done I’m sure. I’m obsessed with all things Norlin.Yeah. Why take the chance of really fucking it up and then having to have a new neck made? For around $600 out the door, it can be ready to assemble and rock the fuck out!
The touch up work was extra. But still very reasonable. If he does a good job you came out good. $550 for all that is cheap.
Nice dude! That's a good price for all that work. I'm guessing the neck repair will need some reinforcing dowels put in from the looks of it.Well…I just got off the phone with a fella in Grand Rapids who owns a guitar repair shop. He’s done work for me in the past and does incredible work.
I texted him the pics. He said he would repair the headstock, refret and new nut for $550. So I’m gonna let him do it instead of rolling the dice on my limited experience.
Ohhhh no. The price has gone up a bit now, with having to make a new headstock.Good Lord what a job. All that for 6? fuck...
c'mon brent...just make it headless !That’s not something I can do. If my attempt at making the repair doesn’t work, then I’ll have to have a new neck made.
You couldnt get one from Gibson in a million yearsnot easier to replace the neck?
