Marshall JCM800 1960A 4x12 cabinet from 1984. Original vented G12T-75 speakers, the tag on the back says 260W max but that is a leftover tag from the G12-65 speakers that preceded these. This cab is 300W max. Very common for cabs of this era. These G12T-75 sound different than the newer non-vented models. Way more mids and no brittle highs. The side handles have screws instead of rivets to prevent rattle. Always stored inside my home (not garage ever) since I’ve had it.

I have an 84’ also. I still have the quad of vented T75’s that came out of it. They are much more like a G12-65. Apparently, they were 65’s with a slightly more robust voice coil for an extra 10w of power handling.

Yes that's what I have read too, only the voice coil material changed. I have owned some random G12-65 and they always lacked sparkle and were a little dull on top but these have a nice top end. But based on our resident speaker expert @Racerxrated , those G12-65 had lots of changes in their short span and some of them were more dull on top while some of the earlier ones were more balanced.

You ever decide to part it out let me know. I don’t need a vintage cab but I’d like to get two Splawn cabinets and X them with V30s.

Thanks it's not out of the question. My other 2 cabs are '70s GBs in a 78' checkerboard and '70s CBs in a modern black cab with a small rip in the grill. I was considering moving the CBs to this cab and then selling the speakers and empty modern cab separate.

But the black cab sounds great and the cab for sale is still all original so I'm reluctant to do the swap. And I'm a lazy fuck so there's that. :ROFLMAO:
