Hi there,


even though i should make more music, i.e. any music at all, here's another Production Test.


As basic as possible. A little EQ 84 on Drums, No Compression, 1 Mic per Instrument, 2 Overheads, 2 Room Mics. Guitar and Bass Mic Pres were set to -50db (very low volume) No EQ Maximizer on the Master Buss.


I somehow like it better that way. Not sure if it can compete. Would turn the Amps up on a real recording though.

Mean….listening on my phone but the bass is kinda drowning the guitar. I still dig it though.

Sounds good to me. I'd bump up all the drums except cymbals.

i would mic the snare and kick instead of using the two room mics. for raw tracks it sounds pretty good, it does need some compression though to glue everything together

I would add a snare and kick mic to that mix

Once you have that, this could be excellent

thanks for your replies.
I used Superior Drummer. With "one mic per instrument" i meant one per Kick, Snare, Tom, Hi-Hat and 4 additional Overheads.
Sorry if i didn't make that clear enough.
