Hey guys and gals! Uncle Hellzington back with something cool while also looking for some feedback. I wanted to try and create my own songs and do amp demos at the same time, so I decided to start a series called "In the Mix" where you can hear a specific amp and how it would sound in a semi-professional mix.

Obviously I am not a professional producer and this is only my second video of this type, but I'm pretty happy with how this came out. I'd love to get any constructive feedback y'all have on the mix, guitars, playing, production, etc. Pretty much anything, really; whether positive or critical.

Also props to @pipboy90 for listening to the rough tracks and offering his feedback early in the process.

Enjoy the Naked, one of my favorite amps of all-time!

Headphones or studio monitors recommended :)

For not having produced before, I’d say it’s quite good. Very “tool-esque” sound. Did you do all the parts; rhythm etc? I personally would be very happy at completing this project and feeling confident about sharing it. Good work.

Very nice, great to hear that amp in context and being put to use! Looking forward to more!

Thanks man! I appreciate it.

The drums are from a loop pack I bought but all the other instruments were recorded by me. Mostly used two guitars: a Strat with the Billy Corgan pickguard and another Strat with Dimarzio Noiseless humbucker-sized P-90s.

This is them:

Thanks for the positive feedback! It's a killer amp. The big guitar hits during the breakdown at 2:18 is "that sound" that I love from this amp. That ripping, tearing, clawing, scratching kind of sound. No other amp sounds like that.

What's the loop pack? I want it!

Sounds killer to me  You got some huge tone there :dunno: and I love how the guitars are so forward and in your face

sounds really good....
What recording gear did you use?
For the guitars: amp into the UA OX Box into a UA Apollo Twin X Quad into UA Luna DAW.

For the bass, Fractal Ace FX III Mk II Turbo into the Apollo into Luna.

Video was made in DaVinci Resolve.

Cool, great start!

more people should record. I really liked the ending as well

are your drums mixed full left and right?
if so, try bringing them in to 70 ish and see if the guitars sound wider if you care to try. Little trick I did on the demos I posted earlier this year
