Still love that album.
Hell yeah. This record came out before he got into that awful habit of switching to the neck pickup every time he goes to the higher reaches of the fretboard. I hate that.

Killer album. Southern Steel was the one that got me, then The Introduction.
Dave LaRue and Van made up such an awesome power trio with Steve. That era is a highlight for him

Got to see them live, touring for that, in Boston. I think it was at the Channel. Just fantastic.
 
Saw them live at My Father's Place, NY w/ Holdsworth and Jeff Berlin opening.
