Turned my PV combo into a head....

Yeah…shit will just be sitting in the ole boom boom room…. Unless I trade it or something. To be honest I just want to lighten it up. I will do the liner just because I can grab a can for ten bucks and call it a day. I want it to look decent..don’t get me wrong…hell I might even do something different…
 
Whichever way you go I'm certain it will come out to your liking
 
I say sand it down and use one of those Granite counter paint kits on it ....

either way ..... bass player I was jamming with used bedliner on his old Hartke stack .... he said it was the worse thing he ever did ..... and I couldn't dis agree ....

I totally agree with Hatter on this .... if you throw metal or plastic corners on it .... tolex / vinyl won't be hard at all .... corners and rounded parts are the bitch and the biggest learning curve ... that and I suppose learning how to make the cut to make it look seemless ... all youtube learnable though ...

once I had gotten the hang of tolexing ..... I went nuts .... lmao .... now I laugh ( inside ) when someone drops the price of an amp or cab due to the tolex ...
 
Well it’s fuckin ruined. Had it sitting on my deck railing drying….neighbor cat knocked it off and broke the head shell. I knew better but did it anyway. I hate cats.
 
Dude, that sucks! Cats can be assholes, I know mine are.
On a semi-decent note, one of the project sheets of plywood from home depot is more than enough material to make a new one and it's not hard to build.
I'd still be pissed in that that situation though.
 
I had just finished spraying it when the bastard jumped up on the railing and then jumped on the cab. I backhanded the little shit off of the head. He came back and fucked me that night. Probably pissed on it too. Payback for not petting him.

I never understood why they produced a 5150 combo. Who in their right mind is going to play metal through a 212? ?

That’s also a stone texture paint as well. The wife happened to have a can and I thought fuck it…looks like shit…
 
Plus all the hardware was grungy as fuck so I painted the shift after cleaning them.

The corner brackets work for braces where the top broke. Going to have to do something about the sides where I split it originally.

I wondered if that's what was holding it together. I don't have any good ideas for the sides, unfortunately.
 
I glued it together first. So the brackets are just extra. I got the seams nice and tight because the brackets screw holes lined up pretty good…
