New Ace tune is pretty cool

I heard this yesterday and definitely a catchy tune! I saw Ace a few months ago and was a bit of a shitshow, lol, but Ace is Ace.
 
Ace has gotten consistently good sounds for quite a while now. I always know it will sound good. But will the material be worthy of the tone? Surprisingly, in a good way, he’s done pretty well I think on what he’s put out. I’m frankly amazed he can still do it. I’m not religious but God bless that Son of a Bitch!…I’ll always be one of his Rock Soldiers…lol
 
I bet he played at least 3 of those notes correctly in a row before Pro-Tools punch ins were required. Way to go Ace, you beat your live record!

Steve Brown produced the new record and cowrote the tune....Steve writes catchy stuff from Trixter to Tokyo Motorfist.
 
yeah it's ok..guitar tone and production is killer. For me the chorus sounds strained melody wise but the verses are pretty catchy. Looking forward to hearing the album
 
Tonally I think it sounds good.

Love Ace, always will, but still pretty bummed from the show I saw a couple weeks ago.
He did look good though.
His band is great.

Agree... his stuff is corny. Never been a fan of his vocals

For what it is, I think it is good and his voice/tone is so distinct, it works with his playing. I think the production is good too. Not too polished for a guy who has that rawness to him. The solo is the same solo he has played for 50 years though but hey, it works.

for the guys saying his show was crap, what was it about the show that was bad? Lack of effort? Performance?

Yeah I saw him in September if I remember correctly and my daughter and I were shaking our heads. The beginning of the show was rough and then he started waking up, lol.

I love the guy but he talks a bigger game than what he actually is. He is one of my guitar heroes but his playing is as predictable as a KISS show.
