Suhr pedals are awesome!

Nice pedals! I need to delve into Suhr's stuff. You have to be like 12 feet tall though. That pedal board is tall as hell :D
 
I've had a different experience. My "woodshed" comp starting zonking out after about 2 months of use and bought brand new, and I had the KoKo on my board for a while, but it always imparted this "cocked wah" tone that I didn't like. I replaced it with a Valbruch BBQ and it's much more to my liking. My experience however may be the exception for sure.

It imparted a cocked wah sound because the Koko Boost is a mid boost!

No Sr. I've had hundreds of mid boost type pedals and none did this. As mentioned above, I replaced it with the BBQ from Vahlbruch and it's a far superior pedal.

I agree. I didn’t care for the cocked wah quality either and partly why I sold it, but can see how others may not mind it. In general I find many Suhr products have a sterile quality to the tone I don’t care for, but it’s been too long ago now for me to remember if the koko boost was also like that
 
Funny, cause I research the shit out of pedals/amps, across multiple forums, including YT demos....... and nobody is really bitching about the Koko Boost.
Likely "user error", IMO. 😆 I mean, the fucking pedal is basically advertised as a COCKED mid-boost

Funny, not a single mention of that on their site, you know "the advertisement"..... either way, If you'd like to die on his hill go right ahead. This pedal sux compared to the Vahlbruch BBQ. FYI, their site is below :)

So the Eclipse is basically two Riots, right? Whats better for higher gain, the eclipse or boosting the Shiba Drive with something else?
 
This thread just kicked my GAS up a notch or two. Eyeing up that Eclipse pedal.
 
I like the original koko a lot, for boosting an amp that's already well into high gain territory.
