So who has used a C+ or MkIII?

What did Brad use on the Ozzy live stuff? Sounds like it.
That tour was 82/83 I believe? Mark 2 Bs with a stereo chorus splitting the signal for a stereo spread. Brad also has onboard preamps in his Strats afaik

List is actually pretty short. Shorter for the other builders.

Faith no More Angeldust
…MKIII
Living Color Vivid
….Mark but not sure if a III
NOFX Punk in Drublic
…..MK and Marshall, don’t know III for sure but probably.
Weezer Blue
…MK III, non EQ model
Pretty sure the Blue Album was a Mark I Super 60 into a greenback cab.

El Jefe did use a MkIII back in the day. Fletcher from Pennywise had some Mark IV action as well.

Neal Schon used a IIC+.

Izzy Stradlin used a MkIII.

Tighten used a IIC+. :p

Yeah, about the IIA/B I think it´s probably the most widely used Mark of them all. It was everywhere in the late 70s and early 80s.

Yeah Dan Spitz definitely used and allegedly modded his own Mark IIC’s. He posted his touring rig on his Insta recently. Also apparently he modded his own Marshall’s as well.

David Koresh (Mark III)

Check out his cover of BOC's "Burning For You". It's just smokin'.

I

I remember watching a making of video of Angel Dust and I’m pretty sure Jim Martin had Marshalls just absolutely pegged. That’s what the recordings sound like too.
That was probably the Real Thing. Angel Dust is definitely a Mark III. Jim then quickly switched to the IV for the tour.

Didn't. Izzy from GnR use Mark III's for a while? Not sure if they made it on AFD though??

They do, on their records (mixed with other amps like Diezel's) and his main live rig is almost always IV's, but he did use rectos for a short while.

That's cool! I didn't know they layered Deizel in there as well.

OP...Lamb of God used Mark series amps on earlier albums as well. I believe they used IVs and Vs on many recordings although they did try some others like the Royal Atlantic and the Triple Crowns.

I just watched the Angel Dust making of again. There are big Marshall stacks and a JMP in the background. In also remember reading about him backing Marshalls.

But clearly in the video, he’s got a boogie in a rack and is using that. Funny, all these years the image of the Marshall stuck with me and in associated it with him and it’s not even true.

Wait, wait, wait! Maybe it’s the Mandela effect!

It was a Carvin X-Series for AFD as confirmed by Mike Clink. He used some MkIII's live and apparently for his parts on UYI.
