I believe Gotoh is a lot cheaper than OG Floyd. Going to try one day but I love my 1000 .
 
What's with these utubers frequently panning/zooming in/out.
 
On my Chubtones I have a Floyd and a Gotoh, I cannot tell you how much better I like the Gotoh. "For me" it's just a much more comfortable bridge because the fine tuners are angled away from your palm. After years of being Floydless I got used to PRS trems and it was really hard to deal with the Floyd on my first Chub. I think I'm going to replace with a non fine tuner floyd, replace the nut with the Graphteck drop in replacement for locking nuts and some locking keys.
 
I found some pics of my 2001 EBMM Axis of the Musicman Gotoh made tremelo.

Probably the biggest issue with the Gotoh is you have to use Floyd posts unless you majorly modify for thier larger posts.
 
sadly he didn't compare the tone with a couple of simple riffs, gotoh may be a great performer but the original and even the special have better tone to me

Ive had them all over the years but my GOTOH 1996T pretty much is at the top of the foodchain.
 
Just got in a 1996 today for the dinky giveaway build.
Honestly prefer them to the OFR.
The price difference is just a bonus, tbh.

I prefer how the OFR feels, but ngl I actually prefer how the Gotoh sounds. More dynamic, if slightly
