Solid looking cab! (about 40 screws on the back panel!) Anyone have any experience with this cab or these speakers? (I know they have a bad rep) but sound pretty good with my Peavey classic 50 head! (great amp) Haven't a/b them yet to other cabs, but so far I could happily use it at a gig. Has the celestion color, juice thing happening Bad comments about them on the internet, (Mike Soldano's Least favorite celestion LOL) but the same was said of the GT-75's until they seemingly regained favor recently!. I like the color the GT-75's bring, but they have just a little bit too much fizz on top for me. But great for rock and roll if you ask me. I have a couple of Marshall 1961 cabs from '85 loaded with 2x12 each. And the G12 T-75mixed with a V30 sounded great to me. Thanks in advance.

Not sure what the OP is asking?
Sounds like it's already in their possession.

Sorry to be unclear: I re-read my post and it's rambling! I wanted to know about the Celestion G12M70's from people who have tried them and liked or disliked them. And I'll have to check the cab later as to whether it's MDF or plywood or?

I believe it's like anything else. You'll find people who like and dislike them, others who will promote certain years, and most who will tell you that it depends on what you pair them with. Figured you already bought the cab given you said you like it with your Classic 50. Would probably ask RacerXrated , Brain Theory, or The Game if it were me wanting more info on speakers. Definitely many others here, just a few members off the top of my head. My daughter has that amp and we found it paired pretty well with 1258 legends and cheap alnicos, but depends on what you're after. Ultimately if you like the way it sounds... 🤷‍♀️

MDF is heavier and not as durable but if it sounds good it sounds good so I wouldn't really worry too much about that.

Those speakers were what was the new thing in like 1986..
You don't hear people talk about them anymore..
But if the price is right, you can still put what you want in there and come in way below a new Cab..
