I liked them in da 80's, now not really.
A friend in the guitar industry had a meet n greet with Mattias Jabbs.
Friend said he was the biggest tool he ever met.
Jabs is a TOOL!!! In 1988 we stayed at the same hotel as all the bands on the monsters of rock tour. This concert was at alpine valley in East Troy Wisconsin and the hotel was in lake Geneva. (The old playboy club) a few hours after the show, all of the band members, except for Van Halen were in the hotel bar. I walked right up to Rudolph who was drinking at the bar. Said hello to him, shook his hand and bought him a beer (Becks) we talked for quite a while and he even bought me the next beer. In that photograph, Kirk Hammett is at the bar right next to me. We spotted jabs sitting in a corner table with some people and being starstruck young kids, We were just kind of looking at him. You know what I mean? All of a sudden his bodyguard comes up to us and says, stop staring at the man you’re making him nervous. What a Prima Donna. Rudy was so cool and nice to me I’ll never forget it. (Even with my Van Halen shirt lol) they all had bodyguards in the wings in the bar. And when I asked Rudy if I could take my picture with him, he said in a thick German accent. “ you see that guy over there, usually he doesn’t let me do things like this, but this time I say ok!”
Thanks Rudolph!!!
