To the preceding "argument" about conservative vs progressive "looks":

It's a tendency towards / proclivity for dressing and presenting oneself in one mode or the other. Not a rule, just a strong tendency that bears itself out in predictive and book-by-cover judgements... IMHO.

IOW, undeniable but not something you'd want to take to the bank in any particular case.

That said, peeps aren't going to stop categorisation based on initial impressions any time soon. This behaviour is at the core of practically every decision we make throughout the day - you know - look for patterns, assign a category and make a decision. :dunno:

To me that says a lot more about the person making the assumptions than the one being judged.
Going beyond the surface level "book by it's cover," it's also interjection one's own bias and preconceived notions/stereotypes rather than judging based on actions and character.

I would love to know the story behind that one.
I told my wife last night this story had made it here on RigTalk and she said "Oh, I got the backstory on that!" haha

There's a woman in Houston named Griselda that goes by "Grizzy" and has gotten quite a large following covering "hood news" as she calls it around Houston - and there's of course a huge market for that so her channel and social media pages have blown-up and she even had (not sure if it is still on) a weekly show on one of the local UHF TV stations.

According to the updates on this story, the driver of the white SUV is the wife or girlfriend of the man in the car. She found him cheating on her and decided to tow the car (not sure if it is hers or theirs or whatever)...he got in it and was trying to break the car free, hence the swanging and banging on the freeway. I'll try to find the link to the explanation later

Awesome, thanks. I figured it had to be a scorned woman.

So inspiring seeing these future engineers and doctors...

Cuney Homes projects in Third Ward, Houston...I worked for a wrecker company for a short time years ago - worst job, ever as we had contracts with places just like this and you had a window from 8-10AM to work the property before too many awoke and you encountered scenes like this. Haverstock Hills was the worst, can't even imagine what it would be like now.

Well I agree of course.

I was very-clear:

I stand by this. Nobody's condoning prejudging anyone; it was an "obvious" observation that's statistically-bourne-out is all. :dunno:
