Best "Dumble in a Box" pedal, Menatone 7-knob Howie

The best sounding dumble style pedal i've ever heard is the Kingsley Page.

The clean one is nice too - the Maiden D or whatever it's called.

nice playing and tone!
was always curious about that one. had their JAC compressor which sounded nice and many players i mixed live had their od pedals.

Menatone makes great stuff... I've got the "Top Boost in a Can" and it nails the AC30 thing if that's your thing, no doubt the Howie is killer too

The best Dumble style pedals I’ve had/still have are by far the Peace Hills SSS and ODS. The Ethos one I had along with countless other Dumble style pedals would sound like cheap toys in comparison

There is a guy at TGP you should consult. Expert at just about everything, but especially being an asshole and proclaiming what is good relating to anything Dumble.

I waited a year for this and sold it within a month. The HOWIE pedal was fun, but to have a whole amp dedicated to that tone (at that time) it wasn't for me.
I wish I still had it though.

I hope so for that kinda dough. Per your word I looked into those. Nice unit. The honey bee SSS on reverb sounded pretty good to my ears also for a few bucks chaper.
The Howie in particular. Made me play and phrase things a bit different than was my norm.
Nice tone and playing Carl.

i spent a good deal of time with my friend’s bludodrive and custom voiced joyeaux last week. they sound killer but it is quite a steep price to pay.

although i used an ethos for many years as my main lead tone pedal and loved it, these sounded great!

Yeah imho the Ethos just can’t compete with these. Just not on the same level. It sounds like a pedal in comparison for lack of a better description right now LOL. Of the close to 200 overdrive type pedals I’ve been through over the years the only 2 I’d overall rank higher for me (at least in terms of tone quality, nuance, feel, etc.) would be a real Klon and Dallas Arbiter Range Master if that says anything (both OG versions, not copies/clones)
