Post a clip or call someone out in a Riff/Noodle Showdown if you've got the chops.
Or just talk about your fav clip posters on the forum and things you like or think can use improvement.
This is for fun, no personal attacks allowed unless in the form of your not serious wrestling persona.
Constructive criticism is a thing.
If you aren't on here, don't take it personal as there's only ten spaces for polls.
These were just some members that stood out off of the top of my head as regular posters of clips.
You can select multiple members.
If you talk shit, be prepared to back it up and don't cry foul or feign that you're being attacked/demanded of anything.
Try and keep it clean and above the belt. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Feel like it's a fun way to resolve a lot of the hostilities I see more than anything. Or just talk about fav member clips.
I feel that Dan Travis and Dstroud are the top performers for lead stuff.
Simon and Erock are probably my two fav riff members.
I appreciate the members who test gear for the rest of us and show off awesome tones.
Not discounting anyone else I didn't bring up, all have their strengths which is mostly what I personally look at.
Take Chugg for example; He has those filters and dance moves that have yet to be replicated.
None of that's to say any are better than the other, just on my averaging opinion as I've heard stellar stuff from everyone and it really depends on the focus of the specific clip they've posted as Dan is also one of my fav riffers when that's what he's focusing on.

That's really nice of you Lisa, but you have full songs that blow my clips out of the water.

Even if you actually feel that way, you have to understand that I both have a lot of time and my only way to really get my point across is through a song and not really just a riff for example. It's kind of an illusion in that I have to use my experience of songwriting/multi-instrumentalist/edm over my actual playing/tone to try to make an emotional connection. I rely more on dynamics than catchy stuff or good tone. Each part on it's own isn't really stellar, imo. Piano is where I'm probably most comfortable saying that I feel that I excel at as a single instrument. You're sweet to say that though, but most of y'all have a better seemingly natural knack for the hook at minimum.

I was going to vote but Yoda wasn’t on the list.

Shreddi?
He's some tough competition if you ask me.
So many more that should be on the list the more I think about it. You and errrl, as well for example.
To me none of y'all are unworthy of each other and there are def some shit talkers outside of this that should probably PAC or STFU. :ROFLMAO:
It's fun when people participate with their guitar's voice more than only just repeating what they've experienced or read.
Some members get offended for some reason if you ask, but they're usually the most guilty of being a paper tiger.
I find more often than not people who share their stuff are usually the most helpful/humble/willing to learn/complimentary/constructively critical.

Some, but not all of course who I'm not familiar with any clips of theirs often have a lot to say. For example one member told me that my vibrato on a specific clip was as flat as the earth. They double and tripled down on it telling me I needed to work on it and refused to point to where/which part. Just repeated themself over and over like a bot. They claim they gig constantly and have been working on an album for the last however many years now. They've never publicly posted a clip. Moral of the story is; There was no vibrato used on that clip...

I guess I understand, but it takes a heck of a lot more to choreograph a song, as opposed to making a catchy riff. A lot of people can make a catchy riff, making a song...

Just get your vaccination shots twice a week or swap out your coffee sugar with lead until you're autistic or listen to a lot of edm and eventually it will come to you :ROFLMAO: I love the dynamics of classical and edm, so that's where my heart beats. The autism is probably just a bonus :ROFLMAO:

I find this place inspiring. Always cool to see players excelling in things not in your wheelhouse and pushing you to improve. Unfortunately I’m not so much into gear - I know what I like and it’s perhaps not the forums tone taste so most my clips tank lol and I dont have much to contribute about gear cause I don’t buy a lot of stuff, but all good it’s fun to come see whats happening when my work gets slow lol

I like Erock's riff style, Darren's leads, and Lisa's compositional skills/songwriting

That's no knock on anyone else though for sure

Bram, Raceuforher, Simon, all get really nice tones even if the riffs arent my style or exact musical preference

Fusionbear, Midnight and Neuby are super creative compositionally in different ways, whether it's songwriting, note choice, etc, even if it's not my exact cuppa

He doesn't post much anymore but @VESmedic gets my favorite tones on the whole board, 100% - not really because of the gear he uses, but just his ear for post and eq is supernaturally good. Headless has some really cool bands he's been in.

IMO the number of people who do cool stuff are way easier to remember than all the paper tigers, although the latter are probably just as common as the former

I remember 20 years ago on here, there was some fairly frightening dudes who would OWN everyone else for tone and playing.

Dont know where most of them are now...some still here..... andywood, Alex Flouros, gainfreak, Kage, Myron from Greece, Ed D, Pat (@mentoneman ), @CarlF (for Hendrixy style), billybogner, bill staley, yngzaklynch, Danyeo....

No chance of cheating like giacomo back then haha

Mark Day comes to mind. I loved watching his videos.

Also, I'm not gonna vote, i'll wait and see who thinks they can out-cut me and then drop the bombs :hys:

I voted for chick norris and chuggmuffin. The latter because I hope he comes back and posts a clip. That one video had me laughing so hard where he was dancing I was waiting for him to fall into a piano. :ROFLMAO:
