You guys ever messed with trying to fool the ear into "hearing" a different time signature than is actually being played?
I'm doing some early testing with this

The drums sounds 4/4 to me, sounds like you are double timing the riff in the beginning of each turn around
You ever stumble upon a familiar song on the radio for example, and the arbitrary moment when you tune in just happens to land on the offbeat? It throws the whole thing off and a few measures need to go by for your ear to catch the one again?
A songwriter I cant think of right now once said he got cool ideas from hearing music in the background like at a mall where you cant hear it well enough to hear the one.You ever stumble upon a familiar song on the radio for example, and the arbitrary moment when you tune in just happens to land on the offbeat? I don’t even know the difference![]()
if it helps, here's one where im trying to make it sound like 4/4 or "straight" with the way it's arranged
