Yep. Totally new modeling engine that sounds pretty sick. I’ll do a vid covering it all for sure.

Agreed. L6 has really dialed in what it means to expand digital while listening to feedback from their customer.

I 100% believe there’ll be rack and smaller versions post launch.
 
At the prices those units are at, hard not to go Synergy with a 2 or 3 modules. I mean so what if you can model 50 amps, we all know that everyone goes back to the same 2 or 3 amp profiles all the time.

true; but the computer I use for guitar plugins isn't the latest; it's a few years old, purchased refurbished. and cost $215, and eventually I'll upgrade to another cheap old computer around $300 or so.
 
These new modelers remind me the iPhone.

I'd say the Helix hardware lasting 10 years is impressive compared to other modeling platforms; no reason the new Helix won't have as long a run.

If I was interested in a hardware digital modeler today, it would be the Helix Stadium XL on that history and that I've had two Helix since their initial launch.

I hate how Line6 insists on building an expression pedal into the board. It looks cheap and I'd much rather have a separate pedal of my own or maybe none at all.
The switches look like they're spaced too close together as well.

I actually prefer having an integrated expression pedal; good to see they offer a model with one, and without one
 
Just got my HX Stomp back out to try again but still can't get it to sound good. It's the only modeler I've tried that just doesn't sound good to me.. I hope this new Helix is better.
 
The feature to play backing tracks is pretty useful though (even though I don't play out live). But it eliminates the need for having to bring a laptop with you.

I can get not loving modeling or a specific unit but to say it can’t sound good is insane

The Stadium looks like a winner. I'm most looking forward to a Stomp 2. The Stomp is so useful and iconic. Imagine what the Stomp could be with some updated tech?
