Yeah, stiff and unforgiving, like someone unleashed a digital gremlin into my latticework. It ruins the sound of driven sustain. With a clean pedal steel the digital worked just fine, lush and beautiful, but it def ruins an OD tone for me. It's like it can't deal with the added harmonic content.
 
That's what buffers are for. That's three of my 28 pedals.
Bufferin is for when I got aches and pains after the gig.

It's satisfying to know that a good old analog sledge hammer can destroy pretty much any digital piece of gear. Hardware>software.
