First time doing this mod to a Marshall with a PCB. I've heard the traces on Marshall's ST1 board are fragile as hell and I can confirm that's true. I'm surprised they don't disintegrate the first time someone plays a power chord lol. But if you're careful you can make it work.

This one belongs to another member here and it will get depth, variable NFB, slope switch, and five juicy, angry gain stages. Still waiting on some parts to arrive, but I've got most of the mod together and my daughter board installed.

That version ST1 isn’t bad. Just gotta be quick with the iron and pull the components fast. I’ve done easily over 100 of these.

The bad ones are the 74-75 version. You look at it wrong and the traces will evaporate. You’ll see most of them that have been worked on with the traces bypassed underneath. Components connected by their leads.

Looks like a cool build. Those are keeping you busy I can see!

They're still pretty delicate haha. I've found a few different work arounds. This particular amp also had a weird repair/mod to the board that looks factory. Marshall did some odd things.

I'm having a lot of fun building these. I'm getting pretty quick at it too. I can punch/drill the chassis, stake the turrets and populate the board in one day if I have everything on hand. I could build the entire amp in 3 days if it weren't for the headache of sourcing parts.
