As I said here years ago, I used it a few times to kill Calamus-worm infections in fish. At the time (20 years ago) it was the only known cure in my neck of the woods.

I'm bettin' it's been used to kill parasites in all manner of critters (most-likely mammals 'cause of the shared chemistry). When I bought it 20 years ago the vet said it was used as / in sheep dip.

I'm also tippin' that the manufacturers packaged the drug for the equine industry 'cause let's face it, being large animals, the quantities involved would be potentially-insane.
