I have this 25yr old strat. Been heavily modified. I bought as a sunburst but i stripped off finish years ago. Going back to sss but not sure what pickups i want. I have some fender custom shop 69 pups i could drop in but thinking of trying something new. Lollars or fralins maybe but even those not sure which set i’d want. So many other manufacturers as well. Anybody here like single coils? Lol. What all do you love?

I don't have a ton of experience with different single coil pick ups ...... but I installed a set of Duncan Antiquities in mine and couldn't be happier

I have been a proponent of Lindy Fralin Vintage hots in all my Vintage style Strats. However, I will be swapping one set in my American Vintage '57 reissue to the Fender Pure Vintage 59's soon. For some reason, the Fralins sound darker and rounder than the original 57/62 pickups that were there when I bought it stock. Should have left it alone.

I would just get a Duncan Twangbanger bridge pickup and use the CS69 Fender neck and middle pickups. The Twangbanger takes the bridge pickup towards a Tele bridge pickup. It's already got a metal plate installed underneath and is wound with plain enamel wire.

Lollar makes some very nice strat pickups.
Lollar makes great pickups period. I have two of his Dog Ear P90's, a Gold Foil in black chrome finish, and an A5 Staple. All of them sound fantastic, and nail the tones you'd expect from those designs.

I’ve ran a ton through my CS. I stopped at the Rocketfire Total 60’s set. And it’s not even close if you want true glassy strat tones. They handle gain well too.

I've ordered a set of the 54s too. Can't wait to compare the two sets.

I like them better than the Klein Epic 59 set I have.
