Zoom. Remember them? How are they still here with us, in this day and age of excellence in modeling gear and digital multieffects? How is Zoom still a company that actually makes and sells products? Well, I wanted to know so I grabbed this Zoom MS80 IR+ pedal from my buddies at zZounds.com and we're going to find out. Is this going to be the same cheap sounding, digital plastic garbage that we've come to expect from Zoom or have they stepped up their game?
Have a great weekend and "Celebrate Mediocrity!"

My playing will get better but you will always be fat, because you always have been.

Jailbreak it Alan!!!

I remember that old Zoom Driver that people loved the R&B setting on. If you couldn't afford a real tube amp, that was a decent way to get a tone.

Seems Zoom is more focused on recording gear now vs guitar and bass gear.

Hotone, Mooer and others are coming on stronger than Zoom IMO, in that price category

I've been enjoying my MS IR80+ in my desktop stereo pedal setup. I also have the red, yellow, blue Zoom pedals. I'm not interested in the new green(looper)one.

For the IR80+ I mostly use the stock Krampus, 1959, Uk30, White Canvas for clean.

Takes boosting and volume rolloff well.

My favorite gain sound is stock Krampus patch with gain lower so I can boost with EHX Operation Overlord stereo boost.

Then sometimes I boost THAT with a Big Monk Pompeii fuzz on the left and Chase Bliss Brothers on the right channel.

And that's the rig for this video. The cleans are stock White Canvas patch boosted with all above and volume rolled off.

A little always on reverb from the EHX Epitome.

Anyway here's My Sacrifice.

The Krampus and White Canvas were standouts to me
