Desperate cry. I’m done.

Once I reach employable level, I will also reach out to all IT people I know to maybe get a jumpstart/recommendation. If you could give me one l, they would snatch me in a second 😂

Thanks for the advice. We’ll see how that goes.
Pretty much any government job in the US is going to be in person. I know my team lost some people when the hybrid work from home schedule got revoked.

Unbelievable how unhappy is he is to shit on others so much . Does he even know Crystal at all ? I know him and he’s always the most positive upbeat dude I know . Even more than Alund lol . So for him to post this I know he’s in a bad spot fr
Thanks for kind words bro 🤝🏻

Him not understanding that we actually diplomatically clashing with Russia as we speak is among most hilarious things in a while 😂

To everyone who doesn’t know, Russia been trying to forcefully keep us in their zone of influence since Soviets disbanded. We actually were among first to defy Soviet regime which ended in punitive operation and national mourning day of 20 January, also known as Bloody January. Number of casualties was not big, but those were civilians executed by military in a peaceful city. Hell my dad, may him rest in peace, nearly caught a bullet. And this event had big resonance and lit the spark.

Simultaneously Russia secretly orchestrated and directly supported with troops, weapons and specialists separatist war on the west of the country, widely known to be waged by armenians, which you might heard of as First Karabakh War.

This unending conflict was used by Russia to keep both countries under influence. And finally we got rid of that ulcer in two stages, 2020 and 2023. It would have been one stage in 2020, but Russia tried hard to don’t loose such a useful instrument and sent “peacekeepers”. Thankfully, we managed that well in second stage.

So it was kind of necessary fake friendship not to follow Georgia’s 2008 case and what Ukraine is going through now. Recently we been diplomatically heated with Russia because of shot civil plane.

Now you guys know the real situation first hand.

Who said government though? So many top companies out there.

@Techdeth don’t get sad about Russia, it will not end bad, we’re forced to coexist anyway 😂

Thanks for the support 🙏🏻

At least those dudes have nice cars and a house lol
Don't feel like the Lone Ranger. I've been jobless since February. The only thing that's saved me is a savings account that I may have had enough to pay bills for a year, but that may run out sooner than later.

I've applied for over 300 jobs. Have gotten interviews, even second interviews, then crickets. 90% I either get rejection letters and no interview, or, never hear anything at all. There's a lot of B.S. going on right now. There's MANY, MANY "ghost jobs" that don't exist. They're there to show fake growth, there to scare employees into working harder, or there to make stressed out, overworked people to think their company is looking for help just to push a false narrative. AI and ATS is rejecting resumes, (I've had mine professionally done, tested, AI and ATS friendly, keyword focused, skills focused, etc.), there's still discrimination, whether it's still DEI, (I'm too Lily White, too male, not a veteran, and have no disabilities, over 50, etc.). LinkedIn has turned into Facebook, and all it is is people ranting about being out of work and having the same complaints. Nobody can get a fucking job. One guy spent a day doing a chart of 1590 applications he's sent. Over half he never got a response, another 1/4 was automated rejections, he only got 50 calls, 18 interviews, 4 second interviews, and 15 were put "on hold", I could go on. It's absolutely brutal. These people are from all over the world, and all have the same stories. It's fucked up right now. But I'll have 8 years of sobriety soon, (which is a miracle), and I keep looking like it's a full time job, and try to rely on a higher power to get through it. I cant shoulder it all, nobody can. You can only control what YOU can control. Accept what you cant change, and change the things you can.

For sure.
I got sucked into LinkedIn a few years ago and at first I thought it was great. I have not been back in some time and I have the same demographics as you.
Agreed, that most of the jobs posted are fake.
And congrats on the sobriety.

Some of my wife's friends got doge'd yesterday.
They still at it.

government office work is like adult day care. DOGE 2.0 needs to keep cutting government waste and jobs until average Americans feel an actual impact. I'd guess a 40% cut across the board at the Federal level might get us close seeing an impact on average Americans (at least those not dependent on government handouts of taxpayer money to freeloaders)

There are more qualified candidates than there are job openings. Companies can afford to be choosy, and they're selecting the top 3-5 candidates.

As I mentioned, I recently retired from a Regional CTO role for a global tech company and I had a mix of senior experienced sales and tech people, as well as recent college grads in their first real jobs, on my team.

I think it's better to go directly to company job sites than the generic sites that have job listings from many companies including intermediaries that get a cut.

In tech, go directly to AWS, Meta, Google, Microsoft, Oracle, etc., job sites.; same if you want to work in tech for other companies: Bank of America, Wells Fargo, WalMart, etc., go to their job sites.

I wouldn't waste time on linkedin, except your own network, and get aggregate list of jobs. For example,

I just did a search on walmart dba jobs, there are 558: listings

https://www.linkedin.com/jobs/walmart-database-administrator-jobs?position=1&pageNum=0

find ones that meet your skills and level, then go find and apply for it directly on the walmart job site, not through linked in or other third parties. These companies have recruiters assigned to each job posting, and you have a greater chance of getting an interview. This is how it worked at many companies, and how I got my last Regional CTO position, I found the job listing and applied directly at the company's own jobsite.

Good luck.

The us government… they reward mediocrity and nepotism is rampant. Someone who is a headache and not capable of doing their job…promote them to get rid of them. Soon you have the monkeys running the zoo… like now… I’m so glad to be done with them. Fuck…wasted 22 years of my life….
