As to why the main home page happens to have 2 Rick Beato thread and 2 Steve Vai thread highlights

Is that random or is there some algorythm going on

There's always a fair bit of interest in Vai.

There's no Einsteinian algorithm at-play, just a monkey brain that gets engaged for a few seconds lest it overheat.

The latest Rick one was about YouTubers' being shafted. That one was highlighted 'cause it affects all we creatives one way or another as our copyright rights get slowly flushed down the toilet. The video was trending in discussions across many audio forums so it made sense to pop it on the homepage.

I don't obsess over exactly which threads make it to the page but of course it's usually guitar and amp-related stuff.
