It really is!
I thought it sounded awesome in every different iteration. Although I admit I would be more than a little lost among all those switches and modes and channels. If I were a guy that needed to play all types of music I’d make a point of figuring it out though because it really sounded great. My guess is it’s even better through that Greenback cab.

This is how I set it up for gigs. Open back 1x12" on top and closed back Thiele 1x12" on the bottom. Portable and killer!

Nice did you diy your sleeving? I almost did that for my 3 cables to the amp but just used some cheap color-coded velcro ties to bring them together. Still thinking of doing it or just getting a pedal python with labels.

I am using the Pedal Python kit. It comes with velcro, zip ties, and the sleeve. People say you can buy all that separate for less, but it's a nice little package and I recommend!

:2thumbsup::2thumbsup::2thumbsup::2thumbsup:I heard Mr Thump can play Country and Western...:p:LOL:

Having played this MK7 I must say it impressed me... greats cleans and the gain channels were thick but very tight and not bloated on lows or low mids, it just punched and the distortion character was pleasantly tight with some bite to it, not Marshall bite but it was there. I got to play it on the MKIIC+ and MKIV mode and it was pretty cool. All in all quite impressive for a three channel amp and not being a huge Mark fan I have to say I like it which surprised me.

SgtThump, myself and couple of other RT members decided to to an Ampfest last weekend so I hauled 4 Marshall heads and two Marshall cabs down to St Louis and we wailed for hours and 311boogieman was a gracious host. Since I'm mostly a Marshall guy and have owned a Dual Recto and a Mesa MKIIIC++ modded amp the two amps that I enjoyed playing the most was Thump's MK7 and 311Boogiemans 1995 Dual Recto.

The other amp that caught my attention was the 1995 Two Channel Dual Recto, I had always heard this era Recto was tighter, more bright, with aggressive highs versus the three channel recto's that followed and this Recto was exactly that. The Rectoverb we compared the two channel to that 311boogieman had was indeed darker but you could EQ it brighter but the difference between the extra bite the two channel Recto had was indeed apparent. I wished I could have spent some more time on the Dual Recto dialing things in but it was very good.
