String thru Floyd Rose II?

Made by Schaller, doesn’t lock… has fine tuners… any good? Feels solid. Finish is kinda cheap… looks cast…. The old Kramer only has two springs but it feels solid like I said…. Cleaning it and setting it up right now. Going to put new jack and pot in. What do you crackers recommend? Probably putting a nice new Duncan distortion in that my bro the sandman hooked me up with….

The Floyd II was only found on the cheaper 80s Kramers and is garbage. The Focus models on up all came with real deal German Floyds. I used to buy Focus models 10 yrs ago to swap the German Floyd with the 1000 models that came on my USA Charvels, then sell the Focus with the 1000 and put the real deal on my Charvels. But, that's when you could get a Focus for 150 bucks at times.

I'd get rid of that II and grab a 1000, install the locking nut and rock out. Or a real deal German Floyd if you wanna spring for it. $$

I had a Foto Flame Strat, Japan made from the late 80s, early 90s I think. It had a Floyd Rose II, it was crap. Block it or replace it. Don't use it for wiggle stickery.

I've got one in a Les Paul style guitar I made.. for me it works just fine, stays in tune just fine. The metal seems a bit meh, but not a huge deal. I wouldn't hunt one out to use but if I found one cheap I would be fine using it
