    Drop C String Gauge

I use a regular 11 set with a 52 on the "low E" ....Sometimes the 49 is fine depending on the guitar. I always find the lighter strings sound better as long as the tension feels ok to you. Some might go for something like a 12 set or go thicker on the EAD strings. But again for me it's the...

Can we talk about Matt Heafys guitar strap?

Granted I do think it looks ridiculous and I’m not a fan of the band. But man who cares if he wants to use a full body harness to hold up his guitar lol. Apparently two straps is enough to get guys panties in a bunch. There are real life problems out there to go on rants about, this isn’t one...

    Marshall Modified

Yeah that’s what I’m wondering also. The new Marshals being made recently have cheap transformers in them. Such as the recent 2203x amps, the transformers were changed and the price on them dropped considerably. Unfortunately from what I have heard they do not sound as good as the previous...

How does a James Tyler Studio Elite HD-P handle high gain? Ran it into an Engl Savage 120 with midboost preamp on and off to find out

I almost pulled the trigger on a Tyler a couple times. But all the clips I have heard dont sound great to me with high gain. Amazing for cleans and funk type stuff though. High gain always seems to sound overly thin and bright.

Front VS Rear loaded cabs actual test

I played both the Diezel 4x12 front and rear loaded side by side. Big difference with the Diezels, can’t say if the same would be so with other brands. I preferred rear loaded Diezel by a mile. Under a mic , I don’t know.

Seeking Bare Knuckle/Lundgren Bridge pickups 53mm

Title says it all but on the top of my list is probably Ceramic Black Hawk, Silo, Crawler, Ragnarok, Polymath or Lundgren Black Heaven Alnico and Sucker Bucker. Something with a cutting midrange and tight low-end.

    Smash is smashed???

This is funny. A 20 year old thread that only got two responses the first time around becomes resurrected with “I hate Floyd’s too” ?
