Up for grabs is my Ground Zero Modded Triple Rectifier. This is a rev G in very clean condition, was recently sent to Jeremey. He went over the amp and added all his most recent mods. The amp is fully loaded with everything he offers. All channels and modes are tweaked along with these added...
Which Tube power amp are you using? I agree with everything you said. I use an FM9 and a FM3 with the bands I’m in. Very happy with my live tone and that’s after many years of using “real” amps. I also use the AxeFx with tube power amps. At the moment I have a Mesa 2:90 and a KSR PA50. Recently...
This one is tough cause it’s a capture through IRs ? Stock Rev Fs are great though , I had a F triple, all it needed was a boost and it was killer. The Rev Gs and 3 channel amps for me have that bloated , stiff / dry , yet loose lowend I don’t like. I just got a Ground Zero modded rev G and I’m...
I like what Driftwood did on their amps with a built in tube screamer circuit. I would want that along with a good noise gate. Also digital reverb and delay. A Fender clean and American voiced high gain channel. If you can squeeze in a mid gain channel or switch that would be great. A footswitch...
Yeah it’s hard to beat the KSR considering how small and light weight it is. It also sounds huge, I use it live in a two guitar metal band and it’s plenty loud.
The peavey power amps are gonna be 30years plus in age at this point. And have some of the controls on the back . Those are the reasons I haven’t bought one to try out but they might sound great, I don’t know. KSR is coming out with a rack poweramp soon too which is worth mentioning.
I’ve been trying a bunch of power amps with my Axefx. Fryette 2/50/2 , 2/90/2 and the LxII. I would recommend the LXII. 2/90/2 was a bit scooped for me I didn’t love it, 2/50/2 was very good but I usually prefer the sound of 6L6s which was the case with the LXII. I also found it to have about...
In my experience having owned 2 of them (one with p50e and the other fanes). I think they are great cabs but prefer a good rear loaded such as Bogner or Mesa. The FB is slightly tighter/punchier but also a little bit smaller sounding IMO. If a tight response is most important to you then yeah go...
Ive tried a bunch of the Anderson pickups. HC2+ and HC3 are my fav. The H pickups are nice too but have a dryer sound and wider eq. In the right guitar they are great also. The HC pickups sound like a really good modern PAF, so traditional mids and smooth highs, bass is not super tight but its...
