Hard to believe, but this is my first "proper" clip with the EP. That is, its not a video cam mic.
Lemme know what ya think!
Fortin Evil Pumpkin 7 String clip
So I am breaking some V30s in one of my Fryette cabs. The previous owner of the speakers told me that they had around 4 hours of play time on them and that is nowhere near broken in. What I decided to do was play some guitar tracks that I have recorded through them at high volume. I just hooked...
Here is my NATAS clip.
I used my '76 Les Paul Custom with a BKP Painkiller in the bridge and SD '59 in the neck through a Marshall 1960BV cab with UK V30s. Let me know what you think!
No EQ on the guitars at all. Not even a HPF or LPF. Totally raw. I used a 57 and a 609...
Forbidden was really good but the sound engineer was clipping the system pretty bad. Sounded like complete shit when the guitarists would palm mute. She had it under control for the first few tunes but I guess as her ears got beaten up by the loud mix, she started pumping up the guitar channels...
So Mike is shipping the Natas down to me in Austin next week and I am wanting to give anyone who wants to check it out a crack at it. I am down to organize a mini fest in Austin whenever. I'll have the Evil Pumpkin there as well.
Anyone who is interested chime in.
UPDATE...
My new guitar! Bernie Rico Jr. Jekyll 7 string.
- Maple Neck Through
- Mahogany Wings
- Ebony Fingerboard
- BKP Warpig 7 pickups
- 25.5" Scale
- Grover Locking tuners
- Tonepros locking bridge/tailpeice
This guitar is killer. Build quality is off the charts.
I have heard almost overwhelmingly that 6550s are the way to go for the brootz. I was thinking of mixing 6550s and KT88s in mine when I get it.
What do you have in yours and what tones are you going for?
Just bought a 2004 Herbert. I am a Diezel noob. What I am wondering is:
Are there different revisions of this amp?
If so, what are the differences?
Can the 2004 take different output tubes like the recent Herberts?
What years were the ones with the external bias test points?
Thanks...
We have been in Osaka for the past week on tour and I found out that the ESP Custom Shop was located here. I went to check it out and it was pretty cool. You can pick out the wood you want and they will make you pretty much anything you can think of. I saw some pretty cool custom pieces there...
I will be there for about 3.5 weeks in Osaka, Nagoya, and Tokyo. Are there some cool places to go to look at gear? I am sure there are, so let me know!
OK. I am looking for an OD/Boost that will push my '77 JMP 2203 into the metal realm. Looking for a lot of drive and boost that can get mildly saturated if need be. Tight bottom is pramount. So far I have a BB pre, TS9, Mucho Boosto, and a Sexdrive and to be honest I usually go back to the good...
In the last week I have had people PM me about stuff I have for sale. One guy said he wanted buy a pedal that I am selling and asked what my PayPal address was so I emailed him back with the info. No reply. I hit him back the next day to ask him if he still wants it and no reply.
Then another...
Got this case for Christmas and built the Evil Pumpkin rig today. It is working great!
The GCX is only used for switching, no guitar signal goes through it. Since the loop has a complete bypass and also since the Intellifex is the only thing in the loop, I have no need for the loops on...
I am specifically wondering whether or not it colors the tone as immensely as my Intellifex does when used in a series loop. If you have any experience with a Replifex, let me know! Thanks.
