I completely skipped Rectifiers until about 2016. Was not a fan at all. Now they have become one of my favorite amps of all time. That '92 Rev F is definitely a magic one. All of them, regardless of Revision, channel count. etc., respond extremely well to boosts which make them super fun to play...
Just looked. My amp is #1272. It has the 561136 transformer and one labeled 562100. Seems like the 561136 had to be the mains transformer and the other one is output, correct?
My Rev F is from revered forum member Steve K who passed a few years ago. I got it from him about 4 years before he died. When we were working out the deal on it he told me it was the best sounding one he ever had and I think at the time he had 3 of them and was selling them all.
Anyway, at...
Thanks, man!
Those EQs are the EQP-1A but I would like to get the MEQs as well. I loooove the EQP-1As on my master buss. I have the SSL comp feeding into them and it is a great final polish for mixes.
I would say it has the chug and low end of an F but the attack of a G. My Rev F is a very special one, it often beats other Fs that it has been put up against, and the reissue had the nice full bottom of the F with a slightly brighter overall tone.
Excellent condition (dang near mint) Triple Rectifier Multi Watt. It is the exact same one I used in my Rectifier shoot out video I did a few months ago. Works flawlessly and sounds killer!
When I was at Mesa this Summer I saw the IIC+ and the 2 Ch Recto reissues but they wouldn't let me play them. I did tell those guys they should let me do the demo for them as I fully understand this amp and who is gonna buy it. They seemed to agree but it didn't happen.
I just visited him at his place in Stuttgart and played one of these as well as his modded Rev G Rectifier. Also played his Marshall based amp but I can't remember what it was called. Fave amp of the day was the modded Rectifier. Best one of those I have ever played on.
