Thrice - Black Honey cover with Wizard Hellrazor (clean/edge of breakup tones)

Finished a cover of Thrice - Black Honey using my Wizard Hellrazor with edge of break up cleans and softer rock rhythm tones. Thought you all would like to hear it in a non metal context. I find it is one of the most impressive rock amps.

Wizard Hellrazor KT150 and PRS DGT in Drop C#

I created another video with the Hellrazor in case you wanted to hear BKP Polymaths on it. It's still my favorite amp I have ever played.

Wizard Hellrazor KT150 and PRS DGT in Drop C#

Hellrazor has more punch, rawness, more open, and can get clanky tightness. Uber Ultra has a modern eq filtered quality to it. I prefer the Hellrazor.

    Will he ever stop...PLEASE!!!

My personal opinion is James is the best guitar player of the 3. I love great rhythm playing and prefer Hetfields attack on the strings with his downpicking and his guitar tones. I have never liked Mustaine's tone ever.

For Sale Hermansson, Headfirst Alta, Steavens Poundcake

My best guess is the red Hellrazor :)

Bogner Ecstacy 101B Differences Between New and Old Models?

Love my 101b. I have a 2013 and super dig the red channel without a boost. Here it is on one of my mixes:

Drop C Shootout: Bogner Uber Rev Green vs. Bogner Ecstasy 101b

Just made a shoot out of these great amps. Both going through Fryette Power Load IR with the same Zilla IR (V30/G12-H75 speaker combo).

which amp for metal laney ironheart 60 vs diezel paul?

For 80s thrash I would probably consider a Used Mesa Mark IV. Death Metal an ENGL Savage is a staple. Then there is super rare amps for Death Metal like a Megalith Beta or Gamma but those will be tough to find. If you want the Diezel route then I think a VH4 is better for your metal style then...

Wizard Hellrazor KT150 and PRS DGT in Drop C#

Another Hellrazor KT150 video from me. This is truly the best high gain amp ever.

My new ENGL Savage 120 MK2 in Drop C

The guitar is a Mayones Regius with a Walnut Burl top and snake wood finger board. Yeah most nice wood tops can be a lot more than finished ones.

For those that owned both, compare the Uber Ultra with the Hell Razor

The Hellrazor is worth the price. I would sell 2 of my amps to fund 1 Hellrazor no question. It is a very versatile amp also. Most folks just use it for Meshuggah tight stuff but it is equally good for rock tones and lower gain edge of breakup stuff. There is so much power and punch to the...

    Most disappointing amp

Yeah the Uber has a lot of treble there but I also had it where I would track it since it cuts a lot. I ended up using those settings on this mix

    Most disappointing amp

Yeah the rev green Uberschall is a mid scooped amp similar to a Rectifier. Though I could have pushed the mids a bit more with the presence control. The Hellrazor I find more versatile than most typically think. If you don't pull all the boosts you can get a thick and tight mid range tone. If...

    Most disappointing amp

There is also the mistake of driving gain too high which makes any recording muddy, especially when double tracking. Hitting just at the point saturation begins will be so much punchier but is also harder to play so have to hit the strings harder. How you attack the strings makes a bigger...

    Most disappointing amp

I find it fascinating on folks being on all different places. My best guess to the reason is what type of music we grew up with in highschool. For me I was 99-03 so I am all about Grunge, NuMetal, alternative rock, Metalcore as the sound in my head. Which to me is Rectifier, Diezel, Bogner...

    Most disappointing amp

I am also confused on the Uberschall fizz or Bogners being dark in general, or the SLO being even remotely disappointing. Here is a recent comparison of my SLO, Hellrazor, and Uberschall Rev Green and they all kick ass. It's so interesting to see everyone's tastes and also find a VH4 or 101b...

    Most disappointing amp

I was most disappointed by the Bogner Uber Ultra. I have loved almost every other Bogner I have played, but the Ultra just was too filtered for me.
