    They do use the 12A_7 as the power section. They are dual triodes so one tube can be used in push pull. Should be under 300V B+ though.

    I have homebuilt 100, 50, 5, and 1 watters. The low watt amps will never be ground pounders, but you can get some great tones at moderate volumes with them.     NGD x2 (Parts Builds)

    I'm getting close on these two kit builds from Precision Guitar Kits. I have some questions regarding the Tele. Should I use threaded inserts for the neck and bridge? Any pickup recommendations? I like the single coil sound but am not really too purist about it.

    How to replace a floyd rose? Hardtail conversion?

    Never seen one, only Kahlers. You would have to make a few rectangular plugs to fill the holes. and clean the existing routes. A milling machine is probably required. You could potentially cast in aluminum or lead. --Or carbon fiber layers :D
