What song are you working on learning?

I pick pretty random material. This one last night took about twenty minutes.

    Photos of your guitar rig

Hand truck really is the most important piece of gear a guitarist owns. I own a few. Tone is in the fingers. Bullshit it's on the hand truck. Besides what kind of man doesn't own a dolly.

got invited to sit in a Beatles tribute band for a few months while lead guitar player is recovering from surgery

Vox and Fender. Tone Bender, Phase, Flange. Beatles did about 126 songs. I was in a band 20 years ago that covered over 80 of them. I never tried to get the sounds when with the band. I just used whatever gear I was using. Paul actually played a lot of the harder stuff in the band. Try playing...

This is not a metal amp

They threaten to take him to court if I remember correctly. Over the Marsha logo.

So how are you getting your solo volume boost on a single channel amp?

I walk over to the amp and turn up the volume. If your loop has a level and bypass footswitch you can use it as a boost or cut.

    How you use your EQ?

I like EQ after overdrive / distortion. Could be pedals or the preamp.

    Incoming Big Box RAT

I have one from the 90's also. RAT is useful for the square wave stuff.

What about RT do you like ?

Besides "well know member" could easy be interpreted "everyone knows they are a dick". What kind of bull shit is this ? We don't all know how big a dick you are. Just a general idea of it. More accurate would be "probably a member" or "semi erect member".

No one does Amp / Gear fests anymore eh ?

We always did one rig at a time. Owner shows it a few minutes. Then if anyone wants to try it they take a turn. If you want to play longer that was after everyone else. Not a bad idea to have a drummer and bass player there. So people can try the gear with a few other musicians.

No one does Amp / Gear fests anymore eh ?

I went one in Tampa where that had a huge new church to use. About 20 people. Having a big room was awesome.

Switchless Wah - Dunlop vs. Morley vs. Jerry Cantrell

If you turn the Q all the way up that is how most wah pedals are. As you turn it down it smooths out the voice. On most Dunlop pedals you can open it and adjust the teeth / gear / pot. That will give you more or less high end range. That might get you closer. I like a fair amount of highs. I...

Adam Jones VH4 Channel 3 settings

Phase inverter distortion is part of power amp distortion. Since the phase inverter is part of the power amp. Any time you experiencing poweramp overdrive there is going to be preamp distortion also in a guitar amp. But the roar, dynamics saturation of the power tubes and transformers has...

Switchless Wah - Dunlop vs. Morley vs. Jerry Cantrell

Seems to me Dunlop sells the parts so you can convert any of the wah pedals into auto return switching ?

Mr. Scary Mod in a Diezel

The Hot Mod / Scary is not compatible with most amps. I don't know if it can cause damage. But have been told it simply does not work.

Switchless Wah - Dunlop vs. Morley vs. Jerry Cantrell

The 95q is a very nice wah. It the one I would get if looking for switchless. Only switchless I have is a Crybaby Bass Wah 105q. It's pretty unique voice. Pretty different from the other Dunlop.

Switchless Wah - Dunlop vs. Morley vs. Jerry Cantrell

The Dunlop pedals are going to get you closer to the JC wah.

    Celestion Sidewinder

No. It was a cab up here in Seattle. I like the idea of a oversized 800 series 4x12. I'm interested in the Memphis. Give me a call or text if you get a chance.
